AMG have unveiled the new safety car and medical car for the 2008 F1 season at the Geneva Autoshow 2008.
The Mercedes performance tuner has been creating the support vehicles for the FIA since 1996, and the success seems to be continuing with the wave of new models.
The safety car is based on the Mercedes SL 63 AMG, and the medical cars on the C63 AMG Tourer.
The cars are powered by a modified 6.3 litre V8 engine and has an output of 525HP. It can accelerate from zero to 62 mph in 4.6 seconds.
Bernd Maylander is to be the main driver of the safety car once again.
Previous safety car models have included the CL, SL and CLK cars.
