McLaren Forced Down To The Bottom End Of The Pitlane
30 03 2008McLaren have been pushed into the final garage space for the next GP in Bahrain, and potentially for the rest of the season.
Garage allocation is based on your finish in the constructors championship, and with McLaren being disqualified they should be in the bottom garages. However, for the first 2 races of the season, they were in the 5th garage space.
Bahrain officials have announced this is to cease.
“In Bahrain we do our utmost to ensure that fans of each team get to sit opposite their favourite team’s pit garages to see the action unfold,” said the circuit’s chief operating officer Sheikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa in a statement.
“Sadly on this occasion, we must apologise to McLaren fans and accept that this is force majeure.”
