Sir Jackie Stewart has told a popular Scottish Newspaper that he has dropped his legal case against Max Mosley for derogatory comments he directed last season.
The Scot had been at logger heads with Mosley, head of the FIA, for some time, and his legal case was being prepared long before the sex scandal came about so it had nothing to do with that!
Last season during Spy-Gate, Stewart had claimed the FIA were on a McLaren “Witchhunt”. Mosley replied to the jibes and claimed Stewart was a “certified half-wit, dressed as a 1930’s music hall man”.
“Those sort of comments show him up” Stewart told the Scotland on Sunday newspaper.
“Once upon a time I’d have been horrified by him talking about my dyslexia, but not now,” he said.
“I’m a certified dyslexic — so what? So what if I can’t recite the alphabet?”
“I did think about suing him and was told I had a cast iron case, but it was so petty and I didn’t want to come down to his level.”
