F1Fanatics is an independent and free F1 blog on the internet. We do not charge for reading the latest news, and we don’t bombard the site with adverts either. I write this as an F1 fan, for F1 fans. F1Fanatics aims to bring you the news, without the padded waffle, without all of the extra rubbish, just the core story, the interviews and the photos. Every story has an interview attached, so you can hear straight from the horses mouth what is going on. We’ve had some big scoops ahead of the main F1 news stations, which is great for an independent blog.

We don’t just get the news from Autosport, we take news from around the world, from major international presses including La Gazetta Dello Sport, Racing 1 Deutschland, Auto Motor und Sport and Motorsport Aktuell.

The blog started out as a bit of fun, but now we have a major reader base and have been voted into some fantastic positions among other blogs. According to Racing Blips, F1Fanatics is the 7^th best F1 blog on the internet, we’ve been in the top 25 sport blogs on Wikio, and never higher than the top 50. F1Fanatics has had such major news stories that we have been on WordPresses front page on more than one occasion, and even top hits on Google.

About The Blogger

My name is Robert, and I’m an 18 year old student from England. I am currently studying for a degree at the University of Manchester but I was born and bred in Worcestershire. I have been watching F1 since a very young age, and thanks to my father I have been a Ferrari fan from the start. My first recollection of watching F1 was when I was about 7, so my first proper season would have been 1997 although I had been present to watch races before that in my lounge! Since then I have watched pretty much every single race, even when I am on holiday. I have supported Ferrari and Michael Schumacher through some of their best years. Along side this I have been amassing a collection of F1 literature and expanding my horizons about the past in F1 and motorsport. Also, my motorsport interests go further than F1! I am a very big touring car and World Rally Championship supporter, but if it involves cars and racing i’ll pretty much watch anything!

Outside of motorsport and cars, I possess many other interests. I am a very big fan of American Football NFL, the Miami Dolphins and often stay up until 4am watching games on Sunday and Monday evenings. I also follow Football (soccer) and play Golf. I used to be a Cross Country runner also.

I hope that I can continue the blog for many years to come, and you guys keep coming and visiting!!
