F1 On Top Gear
LAPS IN THE LIANA
The popular BBC TV programme, Top Gear, sometimes has F1 Drivers taking to the track in the trusty Suzuki Liana, previously used for the “Star in a reasonably priced car” segment.
The Stig took a power lap in the car before the F1 drivers started their attempts. So far, Damon Hill, Nigel Mansell, Mark Webber, Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton have tried their hand on the track behind the wheel of the Liana.

RENAULT F1 CAR ON TRACK
Back in 2006, The Stig took Fernando Alonso’s Renault R24 around the Top Gear test track for the ultimate power lap. The car managed to complete the circuit in an amazing 59 Seconds. Discounted on the board though because it cannot be driven on roads. Even so, and amazing performance.

Michael Schumacher Stig?
In season 13, episode 1 – Michael Schumacher one of the greatest racing drivers of all time was announced to be The Stig, as the German after a lap in the Ferrari FXX removed the famous white helmet to reveal his head. A comedy interview with Jeremy Clarkson revealed some insight into Schumacher, before a fun lap with the Liana. Whether this is true or not is unknown……..!
