Panis Loses Driving Licence and Ferrari
Former F1 driver Olivier Panis has been caught speeding by Swiss police and seen his drivers licence taken away, and his high performance sportscar seized.
The Frenchman, who was in F1 between 1994 and 2006, wining just one Grand Prix in 1996 with Ligier in a rainsoaked Monaco Grand Prix, raced also with Prost and Toyota, is going to appeal aganist his ban.
He was clocked at 212km/h in a 130km/h zone. Panis claimed he did not know that this piece of road had this limit.
AP claims that he will be at an appeal court within the next week, and that the police took his Ferrari off him. Panis was unavailable for comment.
