Ferrari and Red Bull Racing Confirm Launch Dates

Scuderia Ferrari have confirmed their launch date for their 2009 car, the F2009 which will be unveiled on January 12th.

The car will immediately hit the track with Felipe Massa at the wheel, traditionally at Fiorano.

The constructors champions are hoping that the new car can bring them another World Title, and hopefully a drivers world championship too.

Red Bull Racing also took the time to confirm their launch which will take place on February 9th at Jerez.  The launch will be more of a roll-out than a full scale party, like many teams the event has been scaled back.

The February unveiling is much sooner than an early March date leaked to presses last week.

Christian Horner, CEO of Red Bull Racing said this today;

“Our strategic plan has always been to take full advantage of the later start to the 2009 season and we are using the time to ensure we have optimised the car as much as possible, within the regulation changes, to start on the grid in Melbourne,”
