Total Oil Company Sponsor Red Bull Racing

The Total Oil Company have announced that they are now a team supplier and sponsor of the Red Bull Racing Team.

Red Bull Racing, who took the covers off their 2009 machine the RB5 yesterday, have admitted they are delighted to be working with one of the world’s largest oil companies.

Total, who sponsor Renault and the Citroen World Rally Team will provide oils, lubricants and fuel to the team who are searching for their first race win in 2009.

“We are delighted to welcome Total to Red Bull Racing”  commented Team Principal Christian Horner.

“Total will make a significant contribution to our technical performance. New rules require race engines to last longer than in the past and with the added strain on the work cycle caused by KERS, lubricants can play a vital role in ensuring reliability, not just for the engine, but also for the gearbox.”

“Working closely with our engine partner, Renault, the right fuels and lubricants can also have a positive effect on power output and fuel consumption,” Horner concluded.
