Webber Satisfied With Fitness After Test
Mark Webber has declared himself satisfied, and relieved to some extent after carrying out a long test with the new Red Bull car yesterday, his first test since injury.
The Australian broke his leg in an off-season bicycle accident, and had nagging questions over his fitness.
However after spending over 80 laps behind the wheel of Red Bull Racing’s latest car, the RB5, he was happy with the results.
Webber’s fastest time was around half a second slower than Heikki Kovalainen’s fastest time of the day.
“There were a lot of questions going into today and I answered them,” he told PlanetF1
“From my point of view, it all went better than expected, and to do over a race distance on my first day back in the cockpit, with several weeks to go to Melbourne, is a good thing.”
