Brawn GP Car Has First Run At Silverstone

Brawn GP, the former Honda team brought out of administration by Ross Brawn is seeing its first car take a shakedown on the Silverstone Circuit today.

The former Ferrari technical director Brawn, has bought the team and renamed it.

The car is similar to the Honda RA109 protoype seen testing before the demise of the Japanese outfit, but has some nice new features including some new sculpture around the front wing area.

Jenson Button is straying onto the circuit in the BGP001, powered by Mercedes Benz engines.

The car is plain white, with yellow and black stripes.  Sponsors are as yet unknown, but the team colours are set to be white/yellow/black judging by the new logo.
