Jerez Test Day 2: Kobayashi Fastest As Virgin Takes Off Its Clothes…

Kamui Kobayashi continued to prove the great pace of the new sauber car topping the time sheets on another cold and damp day in Jerez.

Buemi was also fast, as was Hulkenberg and Liuzzi.

Michael Schumacher was back int he car in his gleaming scarlet helmet, narrowly beating Fernando Alonso’s time as it seemed the front runners in Valencia were now doing long fuel runs.

Meanwhile Red Bull still launguished down at the bottom of the timesheets, following their ufnortunate break down yesterday.

But the catastrophic failure goes to Virgin, who in another day of running managed to have their car undress itself on the circuit.  The front wing unit totally collapsed and Timo Glock had to crawl back to the pits, before Virgin announced they would abandon running due to a lack of parts.  Not a good start.
