Campos Financial Woes To Ease, Villeneuve In Frame For Stefan
Campos Meta 1 look likely to get to the grd without the aid of the A1GP master Tony Teizera, after this weeks Autosport magazine revealed that majority Campos owner Jose Ramon Carabante is going to take total control.
The team had been subjected to massive financial woes recently, but it looks likely that they will now make the first round of the new season, with Bruno Senna the highly talented nephew of the late Ayrton already signed up as a driver.
Colin Kolles formerly of Midland, Spyker and Force India and Geoff Willis of Red Bull have been signed on short term contracts.
While the rumour mill circulates on their second driver, there is a good chance it could be Betrand Baguette or Karun Chandhok, the latter being linked with a test role at Stefan Gp if they make it onto the grid.
Speaking of Stefan GP, Jacques Villeneuve is now more in the frame to get a race seat than Ralf Schumacher, with the Canadian and 1997 World Champion said to be back in training to get fit for the season if Stefan are accepted onto the grid. Schumacher could still race if they break their handshake agreement contract with Kazuki Nakajima, and for my money Ralf would be a better bet.
